Recently on August 7, Vivo launched its mid-range smartphone Vivo S1 in the Indian market. It is slightly higher in price than its siblings Vivo Z1 pro. <\/strong><\/a>Physically it is similar to the Vivo Z1 pro except for the hardware. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Specifications <\/h3>\n\n\n\n

1. Display and Looks <\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Vivo S1 sports 6.38 inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with a waterdrop notch. It looks nice in the hand. When you move the device in your hands it catches the light and shows colour shifting patterns. At the back around the rear camera, Diamond Black variant had gold trim. In terms of shape, camera positioning at the back is similar to the Vivo Z1 pro. It has an in-display fingerprint sensor it means at the back there’s no fingerprint sensor. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Camera <\/h4>\n\n\n\n

At the back, it has a triple rear camera which consists of a 16MP Sony IMX499 primary sensor, 8MP wide-angle camera and a 2MP depth sensor and a 32MP selfie camera at the front. Vivo S1 clicks good pictures but not as good as Vivo Z1 Pro. Like other Vivo smartphones, Vivo S1 also comes with lots of filters. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Under the hood <\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Under the hood, Vivo S1 is powered by MediaTek Helio P65 processor. It is not enough for heavy usage but it handles daily casual usage easily. It’s siblings Vivo Z1 Pro is powered by Snapdragon 712 SoC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. Powerhouse <\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Most of the smartphones in this price segment come with 4,000mAh battery but Vivo S1 has 4,500mAh battery slightly higher than others. It lasts for 1.5 days easily on a single charge. It also supports 18W fast charging technology. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

5. Variants and Price<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Vivo S1 is available at Rs. 17,990 for the base model with 4GB of RAM and 128GB storage. The other two variants are 6GB+64GB and 6GB+128GB which comes in Rs. 18,990 and Rs. 19,990 respectively. It comes in two colour Skyline Blue and Diamond Black. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

6. Should you buy or not<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

It depends on your need. Vivo S1 is good for those who like stunning looks. It also has a Super AMOLED display. For a heavy user, it comes with massive 4,500mAh which is higher than other smartphones in the price segment. But for a higher gamer, Vivo S1 is not good, it needs some improvement.
